Trimmly

Terms of Service

Last updated 9 August 2026

1. Agreement

These Terms govern your use of Trimmly's point-of-sale, staff, and reporting software, provided through our mobile app and this website (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you're accepting on behalf of a business, you confirm you have authority to do so, and "you" refers to that business.

2. Your account

Salon owners can create staff logins for managers and barbers. You're responsible for keeping login credentials confidential and for all activity under your salon's accounts. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.

3. Free trial

New salons get a 15-day free trial with unlimited staff and no card required. If you don't subscribe before the trial ends, the Service moves into read-only mode: your sales history and reports stay accessible, but you can't record new sales until you subscribe.

4. Subscriptions and pricing

Subscriptions are billed per seat — every owner, manager, and barber who needs a login counts as one seat. You choose a monthly or annual billing cycle at checkout. Subscribing ends any active free trial immediately and billing starts the same day.

Adding seats charges your saved payment method immediately, prorated for the rest of the current billing period. Removing seats doesn't issue a refund for time already paid — instead, the reduced quantity applies as a credit toward your next invoice.

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled beforehand. Cancelling stops future renewals but doesn't refund the current, already-paid period — your subscription stays active until the end of the period you've paid for.

5. Payments

All payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details. You authorise us (via Stripe) to charge your payment method for subscription fees, seat changes, and any other charges you incur under these Terms. If a payment fails, we may restrict access to the Service until it's resolved.

6. Refunds

Fees are generally non-refundable, including for partial billing periods or unused seats, except where required by the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable law. If you believe you've been charged in error, contact us and we'll look into it.

7. Your data

You own the business data you put into the Service — sales, staff, and reporting records. We only use it to provide and improve the Service, as described in our Privacy Policy. You can export or delete this data as described there.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in a way that breaches another person's rights.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service, other accounts, or our systems.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.
  • Reverse-engineer, resell, or white-label the Service without our written permission.

9. Availability

We aim to keep the Service reliable, but we don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. The mobile app is designed to keep working offline for point-of-sale use and sync once you're back online, but we're not liable for issues caused by your device, network, or connectivity.

10. Termination

You can stop using the Service and permanently delete your salon account at any time from Account settings in the app — this cancels any active subscription. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms, misuse the Service, or if required by law.

11. Disclaimer and liability

The Service is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we exclude all warranties not expressly stated in these Terms, and our liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. Nothing in these Terms limits any consumer guarantee that can't lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you directly. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.
